On January 12, 2017, SWM X7 won the China’s 2016 Most Popular Car Award.

蜜桃tv appOn March 21, 2017, SWM Motors entered an official partnership with “World Giant Football Club - Football Club Internazionale Milano” Italy's new star Gagliardini became the spokesperson of SWM Motors, Inter Milan legend Materazzi attended the signing ceremony and SWM Motors opened the door to international football marketing.

On April 19th, 2017, SWM Motors unveiled the world's first concept all-electric new SUV EROE, SWM X7, SWM X3, stunningly debuted at Shanghai International Auto Show; Inter Milan legend, Triple Crown winner, vice-captain Córdoba travelled from Milan, Italy to Shanghai, visited the SWM exhibition booth and interacted with SWM car buyers.

On June 8, 2017, the 19th Chongqing International Automobile Exhibition officially kicked off. SWM Motors officially launched the second strategic model of the Chinese automobile market, SWM X3. International football star Seedorf arrived on the scene, jointly set off a hot trend of co-branding of car and football. 

On August 25, 2017, at the 20th Chengdu International Automobile Exhibition, Vice-President of the Inter Milan Football Club, legendary player Javier Zanetti attended the launch of the automatic gearshift model of SWM X7. And the commemorative version of the 110th anniversary of Inter Milan was launched on the same day, with the official guide price of 99.9 thousand Yuan.

On November 17th, 2017, at the 15th Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, SWM Motors brought several models of its SWM X7, commemorative version of the 110th anniversary of Inter Milan, and concept car EERO to the show. And officially released the future development vision "SWM Motors Guests 2025". Inter Milan legend Alvaro Recoba witnessed the SWM's new milestone.

In 2017, SWM X7 won the “Most Popular SUV”, “Smart Large 7-Seat SUVs of the Year”, “Smart SUV of the Year”, “Smart 7-Seat SUVs of the Year”, “Most Emerging New SUV”, and “The Best Digital Marketing Model of the Year” and “Smart Large 7-Seat SUVs of the Year” and many other awards. SWM X3 won the “2017 Cost-effective 7-seat SUV” award.

SWM Motors became the title sponsor of the Chongqing football team, the new season the team will be "Chongqing SWM Motors Football Team", short as “Chongqing SWM”, as the new team name of Super League.
