On SWM G01 Design Communication Meeting, Yu Bo, Chief Brand Operation Officer of SWM Motors, introduced the brand history and culture of SWM Motors. From the 1970s to the 1980s, SWM was ever high-end off-road vehicle brand popular in Europe and America. After entering into Chinese market, SWM Motors continued Italian gene tough on craft and art, inherited Italians’ inherent sport, passion and determination, and engraved strong Italian gene accumulated for several decades into each product deeply. 蜜桃tv app As an international-level design master carrying out style design of SWM G01 in person, Sotirios Kovos, Chief Design Officer of SWM European Design Center, conveyed core design concept of SWM G01---“Soul of the Knight” to the public on site on behalf of SWM Motors. Sotirios Kovos also unscrambled eight key words which represented the design DNA essence of SWM G01, namely “Arrow of the Knight”, “Shield of the Knight”, “Wisdom of the Knight”, “Wind of the Knight”, “Quality of the Knight”, “Luxury of the Knight”, “Car of the Knight” and “Glory of the Knight”. 

“Soul of the Knight” of SWM G01 contained the “Doctrine of the Knight” of glory, honor and wisdom, and represented the “Battle Spirits” of power, struggle and victory. SWM G01 has incorporated a great deal of chivalries as designed, and pursued the ultimate Italian design aesthetics at the same time. Moreover, SWM G01 incisively and vividly interpreted the soul of victory, bow and arrow symbolizing ancient knights in the design concept. At the same time, SWM G01 details also brought the luxury and excellence to the consumers. SWM G01 rekindled European Soul of the Knight to make life stable and harmonious.

Integrate the Eastern and Western Chivalry, Explain New Height of Italy-style SUV

蜜桃tv app As a boutique SUV launched by SWM Motors in 2018, SWM G01 was specially developed on the basis of the Chinese market, and the first strategic car model created on the new G platform. SWM G01, which was designed and developed by SWM European Design Center, adhered to the ultimate design art aesthetics pursued by Italy, and fully integrated the design element---the soul of European knight with driving experience of the Chinese. Bow and arrow symbolized the speed and power of a knight. The arrow image and form were applied to the design of SWM G01 front grille, so that its front face was full of sharp and full visual elements, and conflicts were integrated with harmony at the same time, which conformed to the aerodynamic aesthetics. The bow and arrow-shaped wheel hub presented a sense of power and speed at any time. When the arrow feature-shaped LED headlights were on, front face was full of elf energy, and daytime running lights fully demonstrated the exquisiteness of SWM G01. Matching the headlights and the form of “Arrow Feather” transversely passed through the taillights; thus transversely extending the line of sight and making the tail features integrated and dynamic at the same time, which made its rear more lifelike. This was the maximum finishing touch to appearance style of SWM G01.

蜜桃tv app SWM G01 interior design inspiration mainly came from the “Shield of the Knight”, and conveyed a sense of elegant beauty with the classic shield shape symbolizing glory and honor. The “Shield of the Knight” was integrated into the design of SWM G01 front face, matching arrow element of its front grille, and the front part highlighted the integration of massiness, power, speed and precision, which better met consumers’ demand for understanding dynamic aesthetics in the new era.

Millennial European Soul of the Knight was not only a symbol of glory and honor, but of wisdom. SWM G01 focused on the design of wisdom interactive system (E-go system) based on man-machine interconnection: wisdom applications such as active exchange-style speech assistant, cloud speech database calculation and the application of multi-life Internet of Vehicles made G01 keep ahead of its rivals at all levels in terms of intelligence, and brought more humanized and convenient experience and services for consumers.

SWM G01 window decorative lines were like the flying mantle of a noble knight over the steed in a gallop in the wind. The unique “Wind of the Knight” showed the spirit of fearlessness and impressive presence. Each detail of its appearance and interior decoration conveyed the elegance of Italy-style design. Details were considered as the core element to create ultimate “Quality of the Knight” of SWM G01. SWM G01 adopted Italian calfskin leather seats with ventilation design, and central console is made of advanced soft decoration materials. The luxury of the knight was integrated into the design and creation in order to create a joyful and tasteful “Luxury of the Knight” life experience for consumers.

Knight was a symbol of glory and honor, also the symbol of power and peace. On the Design Communication Meeting, Sotirios Kovos, Chief Design Officer of SWM European Design Center, was the first to officially explain the new strategic car---SWM G01 to the public. Sotirios Kovos ever held the posts of Chief Designer of Toyota in Europe and Chief Appearance Designer of Audi, and had more than 30 years of rich experience in the industrial design field, so he had unique viewpoint on car design. His strength to join in SWM Motors had a tremendous impact on the design concept and design style of SWM G01, and was of great significance on future design, research and development direction and conception of SWM Motors.
